Suffolk Churches Ride and Stride

Suffolk Churches Ride and Stride - Saturday 13 September 2025

On Saturday 13 September 2025 our parish is taking part in the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust Ride and Stride event.

Our catholic churches in Southwold- Sacred Heart in Wymering Road, The Common, Southwold, IP18 6AH and in Halesworth – St Edmund King & Martyr in Church Farm Lane, Halesworth IP19 8SY are each participating churches.

Walkers, Riders and participant recorders are invited to take part and obtain sponsorship for their efforts.

Sponsorship money raised is shared equally between our church venue, when you choose one of our two churches as your nominated church, and the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust (who award grants to Suffolk Churches) so please join this event.

Our local event organisers are:

Halesworth - St Edmund, King and Martyr: Stella Dobson

Please contact them in person at our church or via our website enquiry form and they will be pleased to issue you with a sponsorship form and to explain more about the requirements of taking part.

The only permitted transport type (save to access your start venue) is cycling or walking. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Water will be provided as refreshment at each church and the toilet facilities at both churches will be open and available for participant use.

We have been asked by the event organisers to stress the importance of safety whilst participating in the event.
